care instructions

All originals that have been framed, come in wood & glass frames and are matted using archival grade matting tape. Should you remove the piece, please be careful when removing the fabric tape. Matted originals come similarly as framed but are instead shipped in a compostable cellophane sleeve. Some originals have been permanently adhered to a cradled wood board and are labeled as such in the listing description.

For all originals, including wood pieces: To make your pieces last, display indoors, keep out of direct sunlight, keep away from moist or smoky environments (like I’m a restroom with a shower or above a fireplace) and do not frame your paper original without a mat board. Mat board separates the piece from the glass of the frame to keep condensation from ruining the paint and/or ink work.

gift wrapping and packaging

I try to use eco-friendly packaging as much as possible. I reuse all packing material for my own orders because I really want to make sure I’m leaving as small an ecological footprint as I can while still running a paper based business. All packaging and clear bags used in my orders either come from manufactures that use post consumer products to make the packaging or are compostable/recycleable.

Gift wrapping: I personally don’t like to gift wrap (for the trees!) but I’m happy to wrap your piece in recycled brown paper and tie some raphia or other natural-colored recycled string around it in a bow. Very boutique-y and eco-chic!

how long do your illustrations take?

At minimum 3-4 days, most often a week, and for really big or complex drawings about 10 business days. Every project and drawing is different but this is a general estimate. I work with my clients to establish a timeline & any deadline requirements.

when will you ship my order?

I usually ship orders on weekends. My schedule only permits me to process orders once a week at the most. If you need your order processed before my typical shipping date or need it delivered on a certain day, please notify me before you place your order. Expedited shipping will incur additional charges.

If you haven’t received a shipping notification or your order doesn’t arrive within 2-3 weeks, please reach out as your order may have been lost in transit.

what materials do you use?

I use refillable Rotring Radiograph technical pens most of the time. I occasionally break out random pens I find and play with them, I couldn’t tell you which ones though. For very large areas I most often use brushes and ink or watercolor.

Recycled, cold pressed & acid-free paper or 100% cotton paper depending on what I’m working on. All prints are on 100% cotton archival fine art quality paper. Certain designs lend themselves to one type of textured paper or the other, not all prints or originals are done on the same paper or in the same style.

Winston & Newton watercolor and Princeton synthetic brushes (no squirrels, sables, or other cuties were hurt in the production of my work)

Sustainably sourced wood of all tree species, mostly domestically grown in the US.

Interior or Exterior house paint, whichever cost effective and eco friendly brand is available at the moment.

Varnishes are only used by request of the client for projects that will be exposed to the elements.

when are you releasing "this specific" print?

Apologies but I can’t give solid timelines for releases. For specific information on when prints will be released you can follow my Instagram page where I post about prints as soon as they hit Etsy.

can you draw people/portraits?

I “can” and used to take figure drawing, but I just don’t like to do them. If you see a piece of mine that is of people/portraits it’s because I was in a real weird mood. I would look into a portrait artist like my killer tattoo artist Cecil Porter! https://www.instagram.com/the_artwork_of_cecil_porter/
